BCK –
I really like the comfort of this shoe. The shoe is extremely lightweight with plenty of, but not too much, cushion. Not quite sure of my size though. I’m usually a 7.5 wide but thinking I may have to return and try the regular width. Seems like a great shoe for extended walking at Disney.

Sleek and sporty looking shoe. The sole inserts cradle my foot in a super supportive way which is nice, as I sometimes experience Plantar fasciitis. They look super cool:)
Kira –
Amazingly comfortable and supportive. I’m so grateful for these shoes. I have a chronic illness that causes joint pain and can walk much longer and further with these shoes than any other shoe I’ve ever owned. 10/10, game changer.
Sailynn –
This sneaker was too hard and clunky for me. I returned it

Right out of the box and onto my feet, they laced up and felt comfortable immediately. Not many shoes can claim that. I have extremely flat feet. This has lead to knee replacement and now hip replacement at age 50. When I was in these shoes I can go for longer hours without pain. I will buy more of these. They are light as a feather.

Love the color…love the fact that the shoe’s tongue is very thin…loved the arch support! However, this wide is beyond wide, the shoe bows out at both sides when laced up, and taking a step. Wanted to take on vacation, unfortunately must return.

SO COMFORTABLE! Have been looking for a stylish pair of sneakers to take to Europe, where we’ll be doing lots of walking. I wear a wide width and have bunions, so it’s difficult to find a pair that fits the bill. These are great! Thick, comfortable sole and love the color combo of cream with a gum sole. I’ll be able to wear these with jeans! I normally wear Altras for hiking / road running, and luckily these have the roomy toebox that I’ve gotten accustomed to.

Really cute, on-trend style. Has a knit upper which is a nice detail and the beige is great for a less harsh white. Also like the tan-colored sole. Ordered 8.5W and they fit perfectly and feel plush for a full day of walking.

The shoes were just too clunky. I really wanted to make them work, but they are too orthopedic like for me.

I happen to really like the sneaker. It was very comfortable and fit great but it did not have a tongue that came over my instep . The tongue ended with the shoelace and I felt I didn’t have that added protection. I’m looking for a sneaker that I can do a lot of walking in for my future cruise. It took a while to send it back because I wasn’t sure and just wearing it around the house. I don’t know how that’s going to be for hours of walking, so I’m choosing to send it back even though it is a very comfortable sneaker. I do not know why they decided to not have the tongue come up to your ankle for that added cushion and support.

The shoe would probably fit if I could get it on. However, the tongue is very short and thin and when I try to put my foot in my normal size 9 1/2 wide, the tongue bunches up. Since it’s short and very thin (almost like cardstock), it’s impossible to grab it and pull it. Other than this huge problem, I think I would have liked them.

This shoe has helped me walk and workout with out any pain. I have tendinitis and plantar facetious and I can wear these shoes all day!! However, I would like the tongue to be a bit longer and have more cushion, as it cuts into front of ankle.

Great fit, very comfortable. However, the flimsy, short tongue was difficult to adjust, and the notch left room for the tied lace to rub against my instep. Had to return them.

A medium width usually fits fine but this shoe ran very wide. The tongue on this shoe is very thin and stiff so that it cut into the top of my foot.

Love the support and feel when walking and standing. Only issue I have experienced is a popping sound with each step due to the suction of the shoe to the ground in the triangular opening on the bottom of the shoe. I only wear avionics shoes and have exclusively for almost 8 years due to my plantar fasciitis pain. They have honestly saved my life! Foot pain can be life altering both physically and mentally. I’m so grateful for Vionic!

These shoes are the most comfortable I have ever had.

I purchased these last week. I typically wear 7.5-8 in shoes and 8.5 in sneakers (most recent was Vionic Tokyo in 8.5 medium and sometimes, depending on my socks, it feels like these are a bit snug). After reading the reviews that these Vionic Walk Max run large, I bought the 8 medium. These were a good fit and I even have good toe room. Toe box is wide and roomy. Arch support is very good. I like the slightly elevated sole as it gives them a more stylish/modern look from the side. The sole is substantial which is good for my plantar fasciitis. From the top, they look wide and with a rounded toe but I’m okay with that. The tongue, like everyone says is short and I also found the material it was constructed of kind of weird; it’s think and plasticy. The tongue doesn’t bother me like it does other people, I just hold it when I’m lacing the shoes to make sure it’s fully pulled back. The sides of the shoes come up on my ankle (why I removed one star for comfort), higher than the lower cut Tokyo sneaker, but it’s not painful and I only feel the higher side when I first put the shoe on. I bought the cream knit, which is a nice change from the bright white and gives it a more modern feel.

Pure Magic!!! I love Vionic shoes but these are stand-above. I just bought a second pair of these because they are that good. The first day I walked in these they were perfect, there was no break-in period. During the week I walk on my lunch hour on a watercourse outside my building that is dirty, dusty, and covered in goose droppings and they got gross quickly, so I bought a second pair of these for everyday use. Love, love, love!!

The sides of both shoes ‘sagged’ a bit when I tied the laces. I did not like the tongue at all; it was too short. I had to fish it out from under the laces and there wasn’t much to tug on. I didn’t wear the shoes, but I’d imagine that the tongue would slide back up under the laces when walking.

This feels like a great shoe, there was just too much room for me in it.

These shoes are very comfortable and well cushioned, but they have some major design and quality issues.
Design issue: The tongue of the shoe is too short and thin. Once on the foot, the tongue disappears under the laces, folding into an accordion and pressing into the top of my feet.
Major Quality Issues: After less than 2 months of wear, the Vionic Walk Max are falling apart at the seams, literally. They also leak water when it rains.

This is my first pair of Vionic sneakers and I am very happy with them. They are very comfortable and supportive. The tongue is thin, very different from other sneakers I have worn. I discovered that the top loop of the laces as well as the knot need to be looser than I normally have them in order for it not to cut into the top of my foot, but once I figured it out, I had no issues with the thin tongue. With this sneaker brand more so than others, it feels like it will take a lot of “effort” to accidentally roll my ankles. I removed the insoles to add my custom orthotics. I will buy these again when it is time.

This shoe has a nontraditional tongue: the edge of it butts up against the front of the ankle. The tongue edge is soft (like silicone), smooth, thin, and contoured; an interesting idea for those who find the the upswept frill that a traditional tongue forms to be unsightly. However, the look of that does not bother me. The arch support, which I need, felt very good – though I did not walk around in them, since the anke bit made it a likely go-back. The heel cap (back of the shoe rising to the ankle collar) feels low and the ankle collar feels loose in back; I prefer a shoe that cups the back of the heel to prevent slippage. It is a good-looking shoe. I might have kept these if the price were lower, but the ankle bit looked likely to be a problem.
Anne –
The very first time i wore them I got blister on the tops of my toes where the shoe bends while taking a step. I own multiple pairs of Vionics and this has never happened with any other pair. Also it only happened on the right foot, so I think there must be some defect with construction and I would like to exchange these for the same size and color.

This shoe is not very attractive. I got the light grey knit, and it kind of looks like cement. It looks a little clunky, but that doesn’t bother me. The real reason I like these shoes is the comfort and fit. The toe box is roomy, so it accommodates my wide size 5 feet, even with a bunion on one foot. The arch support is sturdy, and the sole feels cushy yet sturdy, so I think they will be comfortable to wear all day. Also, I noticed many customers did not like the short tongue, but that is not an issue for me. It is short, but I just pull it straight after putting my foot in, and they are fine. If the tongue were any longer, it would rub against the ankle, which could be irritating. I wear these shoes with low-profile, medium-thickness socks. They have not rubbed my feet wrong yet, but I have only had them for a few days and only worn them around the house so far.
